Biography

Golf was a game that I took to right away. Ever since taking my first swing at the age of 7, I was hooked. My grandfather and I would drive to the beach to play the Robert Moses Pitch and Putt. One round in particular stood above all the rest. On one of the last few holes of a heated match between grandfather and grandson, I stepped on the tee with 7-iron in hand. I lined myself up, gave it a rip, and knocked it in the hole! Ace! The pure joy I experienced that day was something that will stay with me forever. Those are the moments we golfers search for and why golf has had such an impact on me.

Growing up on Long Island, I was fortunate to be surrounded by a number of golf courses. Not to mention a 9-hole public course named Peninsula just a mile from my house. It quickly became my “home away from home”. I remember as soon as I was old enough to play on my own, I would ride my bike to the course, golf bag on my shoulder. I’d spend all afternoon there and make it home just before dark.

By the time I reached Massapequa High School however, I was dividing my time between soccer, ice hockey, and golf. As I turned my attention to college, golf emerged as my main focus. I wanted to build a career around the game I loved and that taught me about dedication, humility, and honesty. I attended Penn State University where I received my PGA Golf Management degree and “Class A” PGA Member status in 2009..

From 2009 to 2012, I held the position of Assistant Golf Professional at Greenwich Country Club in Greenwich, CT. In 2013, I accepted the 1st Assistant Golf Professional position at Inwood Country Club in Inwood, NY. After six wonderful seasons, I was promoted to Head Golf Professional in 2019, a title I continue to hold today. It’s great to be back on Long Island where golf started for me, from the Met PGA junior tournaments to high school county and state championships. Golf has been my life for quite some time and I have committed myself to helping others enjoy this wonderful game as I have.
