TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Sound fundamentals such as grip, posture, and alignment provide a strong foundation on which the swing is built. Two essentials to a sound and solid golf swing are balance and proper shoulder plane. I believe that the golf swing is individual to the player holding the club. No two player’s bodies are built the same, therefore neither can their golf swings. Each player will have their own strengths and weaknesses based on their body’s limitations and asymmetries. I believe that a great instructor will identify and improve weaknesses without breaking down what the player does well. I believe that equally important to the golf swing itself, is the creation of an enjoyable atmosphere. If the student isn’t having fun learning the game, they’ll lose interest and likely not return. As an instructor and advocate, it is crucial to grow the sport with both existing golfers and newcomers.

V1 SWING ANALYSIS
V1 is software used to analyze golf swings using a combination of video and drawing tools used to highlight areas for improvement. Slow motion video allows the instructor to break down your swing in pieces to be more easily dissected. The video along with instructor notes can be sent to you via email so you may review them as necessary. Side by side video comparison allows the student to see how they have progressed. You can also see how your swing stacks up next to PGA Tour professionals. Video analysis is a fantastic tool to connect the feel with the real. Many times what we perceive to be true in our golf swing, based on what we feel, is not what is actually occurring. Video helps us link those two components to get the most out of our game.
