JUNIOR GOLF

MAKING GOLF FUN!
No child wants to spend time feeling like they’re in the classroom when they’re learning to play a new sport. There are many ways to allow children to learn while playing interactive games. They are having fun with their friends and growing their golf knowledge at the same time. Through my US Kids Golf Instructor certification, I have obtained knowledge that allows me to create a fun, competitive environment that junior golfers can thrive in.

FOCUS OF JUNIOR GOLF
Have fun!
Learn something new each time you pick up a club
Respect yourself, others, and your surroundings
Always give your best effort
End each session with a handshake and a smile

PGA JUNIOR LEAGUE GOLF
The PGA Junior League was created to be a fun and social opportunity for junior golfers ages 8-13 to learn the game of golf. Normally golf is an individual sport. In this arena however, boys and girls wear team hats, jerseys, and compete on teams with their friends. All teams are captained by PGA and LPGA Professionals. The scramble format creates a competitive atmosphere while still allowing for learning and player development. The PGA Junior League has helped to generate numerous friendships among junior golfers all over the country. Our team at Inwood Country Club has competed in this league for the past three seasons and the interest level continues to soar. We hope to continue the growth and success of our junior program and the individuals in it. Allowing these players to mature as athletes and young people has been a huge component of what makes this league so successful.
