WHAT IS TPI ?

The Titleist Performance Institute was founded in 2003 by Dr. Greg Rose and PGA Professional Dave Phillips with a mission to educate golfers and industry professionals on the connection between body and swing. The aim of the fitness analysis is to identify the most efficient way for each individual to swing the golf club. Physical limitations play a significant role in predisposing players to certain swing faults.

 

As a Level 2 Golf Instructor and Level 2 Junior Coach, I am a TPI Certified Golf Fitness Professional. I can evaluate your body through a fitness screening process and identify what needs to improve to maximize your results on the course.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

 

The full fitness assessment takes approximately 30 minutes and is performed without any warm-up or practice. The reason for this is to evaluate your body as it is on a daily basis, not as it is once you have been physically active for period of time. When we assess the body in this fashion, we truly see where our weaknesses lie. Once the session is complete, I create a 6-8 week fitness program specifically designed for you. Each program is tailored to fit your needs and no two are the same. The imbalances in your body are what limit your peak golf performance. Once the program is complete, the student should be reevaluated and the program goals refocused.

These workout regiments can be designed for people of all ages and abilities, even kids! There are tons of safe, kid-friendly programs to help your child perform at the highest level. The focus is not just on golf but overall athletic development as well. It is important for juniors to become athletes before they become incredible golfers. The more prepared their bodies are to handle the wear and tear that sports can create, the faster they will recover and be able to improve their skills.
